What makes us different...

The same four owners have imagined, created and been the guiding force for Stone Hearth Estates since before its opening in 2005. Our owners are local, they are visible in the building and they take a hands-on approach in its maintenance and purpose. 

In its original plans a Memory Community was not the owners intent. Originally there was a bridge between 3rd floor and Lake Helen. Things changed, during early construction Gothenburg was hit with a severe storm damaging the structure. That coupled with sky-rocketing steel prices and an insurance company not too keen to have  a bridge connect the building to Lake Helen dramatically changed the course of Stone Hearth. So the bridge was removed and replaced with Memory Care services. Stone Hearth Estates was one of the first Assisted Living facilities with a memory community that has served close to 200 people with cognitive struggles.
